Are You Forbidden Fruit?

‘Moi? Little old me?’ I hear you say.

Well, are you??? Are you ‘forbidden fruit’?

Hmmm. Well, let’s get down to business and answer this question.

So, let’s say that you and your significant other (newlywed, married, dating, partner), decide that it’s time to take a little trip just the two of you. So you book a vacation to some warm, beautiful tropical location. After all the planning and travelling you finally make it to your destination mid-afternoon, settle into your accommodation, make your way to the nearest restaurant to have a relaxing meal, and then decide to get some sleep so you can enjoy your holiday fresh the next day. Now, you like to rise with the first chirp of the birds but your significant other likes a little extra sleep-in. So next morning you decide to quietly slip out for a bit of a sunrise exploration leaving a note to your special someone that you’ll be back by 9am for a relaxed breakfast.

So there you are shoes off walking up the beach with the sun coming up enjoying the beautiful ocean and the tranquility of the paradise you find yourself in. After about 20 minutes you stop and look back at how far you have actually walked and say to yourself: ‘Hmm. I’ve gone a fair way. Well, I’ll just go a bit more and then head back.’ Looking up the shore line you notice a little rock outcropping and think to yourself: ‘I’ll just go have a little explore and see what’s round there.’ Rounding the corner what do you see, but an early riser like you enjoying the peace, tranquility and beauty. Straight off the bat you are struck by the fact that she, or he, has all the right bits (legs, arms, face, hair, curves, muscle tone etc), and is right there in all that glory with not much on but a bathing suit and wham your motor and mind are off and running!  Yes, the love of your life is down the beach a little way but this person is so compelling and this situation so impossible, almost fantasy – what do you do? Do you sit down and get it happening? Do you mumble something awkward and turn tail? Do you play it cool and make some civil remark, so that if you see this person again whilst with your partner you won’t be in trouble? Does it even matter? You had the experience and you now see clearly what ‘forbidden fruit’ means in real terms.

Hmmmmmm. Interesting. Juicy.

So, now that we have established you most certainly are, or certainly could be, ‘forbidden fruit’, just what did Eve get up to in the Garden of Eden with the Serpent? Could we conclude that Eve decided right there and then to get down to business with the Serpent; that Eve and the Serpent knew another in such a capacity as to constitute an epic sin, the sin of all sins?

Ladies and Gentlemen, did Eve have sex with the Devil or did she just eat some fruit?

‘What? This is an outrage!’ I hear you fume.

Is that so? Why?

“And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.” Genesis 4:1 KJV

If your partner said to you: ‘I’m pregnant’ and after delivering the babe added the rider that she had ‘gotten a man from the LORD’, what would you think? What LORD? Would she not be basically saying: ‘Hey pal, it’s not your child’? Isn’t Eve basically telling Adam a little white lie here about the origins of this Cain?

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.” Genesis 3:6 KJV

Folks, what sense does the traditional explanation of the story of Eve, Adam and the Serpent actually make? Eve ate an apple? What kind of rotten apple or rotten story is that? As for fruit, if I planted some ‘bad seeds’ in your heart what would be the fruit: murder, rape and theft? So who says this ‘fruit’ was a literal piece of fruit? If it were a piece of fruit did it contain psilocybin to ‘open your eyes’? Well let’s open our eyes here folks.

“Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?” Genesis 3:1 KJV

So, if the Serpent were not just a simple snake but the most cunning and clever being designed by The Creator to tempt man, Eve probably didn’t stand much of a chance. She was beguiled after all.

Since the implications of the sin of Eve and Adam are racial in nature we can simply check the record.

“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.” Genesis 4:25 KJV

“This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him. Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image, and called him Seth.” Genesis 5:1-3

“Adam, Sheth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahaleel, Jered, Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah, Shem, Ham and Japeth.” 1 Chronicles 1:1-4

There it is folks, no Cain. Cain is listed off on his own, and his descendants or brood that followed him:

“And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. And his brother’s name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.” Genesis 4:16-22 KJV (Underline mine)

So, why are Cain’s descendants listed off on their own out from the presence of the LORD as a separate lot? (Cain, Enoch, Mehujael, Methusael, Lamech, Jabal & Jubal and Tubalcain). Obviously, Adam is not their father.

Folks, as Cain is born of a sexual sin between Eve and the Serpent understand that to this day there is a state of affairs ordained by The Creator that exists between the descendants of the Serpent and the descendants of Adam:

“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:14/15

Yes indeed folks, this is the explanation for the never-ending waking nightmare that is life on earth. I know, it must sound crushing and brutal to imagine, especially after almost 50 years of feel-good, hippy-dippy United Nations politically correct Socialism espousing love and harmony but, the sad truth is we live in a fallen world; thorns and thistles shall it bring forth; animals tear each others flesh; the descendants of Cain dog the heel of mankind.

Just to be straight up here, something that confused me for some time when contemplating all of this was genetics. Folks, you can forget the modern notions of genetics that are no doubt being bandied about in the hopes that they will change the reality of the fallen world in which we find ourselves.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44

The lineage of Cain is not just born of physical corruption but of spiritual wickedness. Exactly the kind of wickedness you feel when confronted by forbidden fruit; the kind of wickedness that leads to affairs, spousal abuse and broken families; the kind of wickedness that results in sexual abuse of children; the kind of wickedness that floods cities with all manner of drugs and wasted addicts; the kind of wickedness that leads to corporate theft and bank bailouts while millions go hungry; the kind of wickedness that leaves a trail of bribes, graft, kickbacks, and embezzlement schemes in its wake with corruption at every turn; the kind of wickedness that creates gulags and the systematic destruction of millions; the kind of wickedness that presides over endless war; the kind of wickedness that boiled in Cain such that he killed Abel.

So, do you still imagine that all the trouble out there somewhere has nothing to do with you or is the penny beginning to drop? Are you now able to understand just what it is that courses around you and within you? Are you now able to understand what sin and corruption actually mean? Do you really believe you can atone for that inherent wickedness by donating money to charity? Can you just self-flagellate to salvation?

Or have you come to understand the psycho-killer that lurks within, which cannot be made whole nor redeemed to The Father without the saving grace of Jesus Christ?

POST-GRIP:

The sin of Adam & Eve was not that they had sex. They were supposed to have sex or they coudn’t create the race of mankind!

Here is a little extra background I stumbled upon regarding the state of affairs between Eve and the Serpent:

“And Adam knew Hava his wife, who had desired the angel; and she conceived and bare Kain; and she said, I have acquired a man, the Angel of the Lord.” Genesis 4. The Targum of Palestine (Italics & underline mine)

‘The Encyclopaedia Judaica refers to ‘the impurity of the serpent who had sexual relations with Eve’.’ The Curse of Canaan. Eustace Mullins

You mean these pricks? “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44

    Well,
“And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.” Genesis 4:15

So, they are still out there today, running around doing their anti-Christ thing, wreaking havoc everywhere.
